This collection of images was taken in 2016 on a hike through Arches National Park in Utah. The man-made stacks of stones, also known as a Cairns, serve as markers along less obvious sections of hiking trails. As I made my way through the desert terrain, I looked forward to seeing the varying shapes and sizes of these balanced structures and felt they created another layer of correspondence between myself and the natural landscape.
