People long gone - appear again.

Estimated to have been planted some 200+ years ago, I tried to imagine the Étienne de Boray Oak, also known as the "Tree of Life"  as a sapling. It was difficult. Passing by, the tree could easily be dismissed as just another Oak, for it's presence isn't truly felt until you step beneath the canopy. The Tree Of Life is experienced from the inside out.

When I arrived, I was the only one there and after my eyes scanned the spell binding branches, a small alter tucked in at the base of it's massive trunk caught my attention. I walked over and found an in-memoriam card for a man by the name of Daniel "Danny" Farnsworth Kerwick attached to a poem.  As the wind bustled the leaves, I sat there and read it aloud...
